AI & Academic Writing
The rules for academic writing are changing.
Artificial Intelligence is changing how students learn, research and write. Yet many students are unsure how to use AI effectively without becoming dependent on it.
This program shows students how to combine critical thinking, academic writing and AI literacy to produce stronger work while developing the skills needed for university and future careers. Students learn to use AI as a thinking partner, not a replacement for their own ideas.
What Students Will Learn
Learn to evaluate information, question assumptions, and come up with your own ideas instead of just depending on AI-generated answers.
Use AI tools to explore topics, ask questions, organise information, and make your research more efficient.
Develop the ability to write clear, structured and persuasive essays supported by evidence and critical analysis.
Understand the opportunities, limits and risks of AI in academic and professional environments.
Learn how effective questions and prompts lead to stronger analysis, deeper understanding and higher-quality writing.
Students will develop:
Stronger academic writing skills
Greater confidence in essay planning and structure
Improved research and information evaluation skills
Better critical and independent thinking
Responsible AI literacy

Our Philosophy
AI can help students write faster. But the future belongs to students who can think independently, communicate clearly and use technology intelligently. This program helps students build both skill sets. Because success in the age of AI requires more than generating answers, it requires understanding, judgment and original thought.
