Communication in Action
Building confident communication
Communication in Action is a practical program designed to help students speak English clearly, confidently, and effectively in academic and real world situations.
Many students studying in English-language environments understand the language but lack confidence expressing their ideas in discussions, presentations, and group work. This program focuses on developing the communication skills students need to participate actively in academic and real-world settings.
Through guided activities and structured discussion tasks, students practise expressing ideas, explaining their thinking, and responding thoughtfully to different viewpoints.
Through structured guidance and active participation, students learn to:
Express opinions clearly and respectfully
Explain their thinking in a structured way
Respond thoughtfully to questions and alternative viewpoints
Build confidence speaking in front of others
Participate actively in group discussions
Grounded in research-backed communication frameworks and aligned with Australian education values, this program focuses on using English effectively, not memorising language rules, helping students participate confidently in discussion based learning.
